Cadbury’s Changes to Favourites Collection Leaves Chocoholics Disappointed

The news has spread like wildfire, leaving chocolate lovers heartbroken and angry. Cadbury’s Favourites collection, once the shining star of chocoholics everywhere, has been stripped of two of its most popular flavours, and the box size has been reduced to a mere shadow of its former self.

Gone are the days of indulging in a Dream or a Flake bar, as Cadbury has replaced them with a Caramilk and bite-sized Twirl. The box has also been downsized from 570g to a paltry 520g. Many have described this as an example of “shrinkflation,” leaving consumers feeling robbed of the chocolatey goodness they once enjoyed.

One eagle-eyed shopper spotted the new-look box and took to social media to express their disappointment. Comments flooded in from chocolate fans, with some bemoaning the new options, while others claimed that the Caramilk and Twirl were “way better.” It seems that the Favourites collection has divided the nation.

A spokesperson for Cadbury’s parent company, Mondelez International, said that the company regularly reviews the chocolates to “ensure the box is reflective of Australia’s favourite flavours.” But many are left wondering if this is just a thinly veiled excuse to cut costs and make more profit.

It’s a sad day for chocolate lovers, but fear not, there are still plenty of options out there to satisfy your sweet tooth. Perhaps it’s time to branch out and try something new, or maybe it’s time to start a petition to bring back the Dream and Flake bars. Who knows, with enough support, we may just be able to convince Cadbury to do the right thing. Until then, let’s enjoy what’s left of the Favourites collection, while we still can.
