The AFL Season is hanging on by a string after fresh setbacks from both the South Australian and Queensland governments in the last two days.
As Victoria faces another day of double digit COVID cases, the AFL is scrambling to ensure the season can play out.
Any teams coming in from Victoria to South Australia or Queensland will have to do that two weeks of isolation. Any South Australian or Queesnland team that plays a Victorian team or goes to Victoria to play a Victorian team will have to do that two weeks of isolation on return to our state.
The AFL has had to restructure this weekend’s fixture as a result, and will need to continue to adapt to ensure the season can play out.
The likelihood of Victorian teams leaving the state to form hubs is becoming more likely each day.
Players have voiced concerns about the personal implications of extended hubs, and may cause teams to be without key players.
